S--Refuse and Recycling Collection Services for New Melones

This is a post-award Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition supporting the award of a firm-fixed-price contract to California Waste Recovery Systems, LLC (Cal-Waste) for refuse and recycling collection and disposal services at New Melones Lake, Glory Hole Recreation Area. The contractor is providing all labor, equipment, dumpsters, transportation, and disposal services under a base year plus four option years. The action was awarded on a sole source basis due to Calaveras County�s exclusive solid waste franchise system, under which Cal-Waste is the only authorized provider to perform these services within the county.
