Description
The Regional Maintenance Center at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS&IMF) intends to award a standalone, Firm-Fixed Price contract for the movement of government materials. Noun Name: Local Freight Description: The Navy is undertaking an effort to revitalize and optimize industrial infrastructure at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS&IMF). To support upcoming military construction projects, PSNS&IMF needs short-haul flatbed trucking services to relocate between 60,000-100,000-sqft, approximately 4-5 million pounds, of government-owned outdoor equipment and materials, between various Naval Base Kitsap (NBK) government sites and government leased facilities. Scope: Contractor will relocate all equipment and materials identified by Contracting Officer Representative (COR) up to the maximum quantity outlined in the approved vendor quote. All locations are less than 35-miles by roadway from each other. The loading and unloading of materials from contractor vehicles will be the responsibility of government personnel using government owned material handling equipment. No hazardous materials (HAZMAT) will be handled or hauled by the Contractor. A full description of the project scope is available in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). Period of Performance � 1 July 2026 � 30 June 2027 Contractor Quote Requirements: Per section 7 of the Performance Work Statement (PWS), the following information must be included in your submission: 7.1. Contractor Vehicles: The contractor shall specify in their quote the types, sizes and quantity of vehicles the contractor plans to utilize for meeting the requirements of this PWS. 7.2. Drop-Trailers: The contractor shall identify in their quote if the use of drop-trailers is an available option and included within their offer. If the contractor is able to provide drop-trailers, specify maximum number of trailers that would be available to utilize in this capacity, and the maximum duration the contractor can support leaving a trailer at any pickup/delivery location for the government to load/unload. 7.3. Scheduling: The contractor shall identify in their quote the minimum notification period for scheduling and coordinating the as-needed loads for transport.
