Description

The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Contracting Department Groton Office, Groton, CT intends to award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed-Price, Single Award, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Southwestern Industries, Inc. � Mfg. TRAK Machine Tools with ProtoTRAK software systems for specialized services of OEM onsite Preventive Maintenance and OEM onsite Corrective Repairs for (Qty. 11) Government-owned TRAK Bed Mills, TRAK Knee Mills, and TRAK Lathe. The onsite specialized services shall include all labor, parts, and travel to Groton, CT 06349. The acquisition consists of five (5) year order periods with an estimated period of performance from 15 June 2026 to 31 May 2031. This acquisition will be conducted using Simplified Procedures for commercial services in accordance with FAR Part 12, as implemented by the Department of War (DoW) Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Class Deviations. The Government intends to solicit with only one source under the authority of FAR 12.102(a) to restrict competition for an acquisition valued at or below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT). Streamlined commercial acquisition procedures will be utilized pursuant to FAR 12.201-1, with the resulting contract established as an IDIQ pursuant to FAR Subpart 16.504. The anticipated award date is 12 June 2026. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations. However, any challenges to this sole source must be received in writing and sent to sharon.j.dexter.civ@us.navy.mil to be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to compete this requirement. Challenges must include information sufficient to enable the Government to determine that an equivalent service exists that would meet the Government's needs as stated herein. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
