Work also includes fire protection, information technology, automated control systems compatible with the Shipyard and Naval Base Kitsap (NBK) Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA), dry dock process water collection system, and the process water/oily waste treatment system. Additionally, construction will include 40-foot gauge portal crane tracks, sanitary sewer, mechanical and electrical utilities, saltwater and freshwater fire protection, information and communications systems, and lighting. Procurement of equipment including a ship-style floating caisson gate and electrified 40-foot gauge portal cranes may also be included.
