Description

Work shall include, but shall not be limited to providing all abor, materials, equipment, etc necessary to complete Fargo VA Health Care System project 437- 22-108, Place Chilled Water Pumps on Emergency Power, in accordance with this Scope of Work, NEC, VHA Directive 1028 (Electrical Power Distribution Systems), the contract documents, all applicable federal, state and local codes as well as all NFPA requirements. Work shall include, but shall not be limited to, installation and commissioning of anew automatic transfer switch for the five (5) 40 hp chilled water pumps (CHWP#1-5) in BE-27 mechanical room to maintain an emergency equipment branchpower path (from panel in ) and a normal branch power path (from panel in), aswell as breaker location switching and replacement for pumps 8, 9, 12, 13, 14,15, 16, 17, 18, and 19, with Motor Control Center (MCC) bucket swapping and relocation for pumps 8 and 9, with all necessary conduit and wire demolition, intercepting, rerouting, and installation to bring them onto emergency equipment branch power. Some pieces of electrical distribution equipment will require commissioning services to be obtained by the Contractor and include at a minimum, the automatic transfer switch. The Contractor shall account for and be prepared to replace all necessary devices, cabling, and conduit as needed and per specifications. As part of commissioning, the Contractor shall be responsible for testing all equipment installed per NEC, and the best practices and standards issued by the National Electrical Testing Association (NETA), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
